Hollywood for Intel Mac — Wine edition

1. Extract this ZIP (double-click it).
2. Right-click Install-Hollywood.command and choose Open.
3. Follow the setup window. It installs the included player, locates or downloads Wine, and connects website Play links.
4. If GStreamer is missing, its official installer opens. Complete it for all users, then quit the Installer app to let setup continue.
5. When setup finishes, click Play on hollywood.rip. Allow the browser to open Hollywood.

If the command won't open, type `bash ` into Terminal, drag Install-Hollywood.command into Terminal, and press Return.

Requirements: Intel Mac, macOS 15.8.1 tested manually using Wine. Internet required for missing Wine/GStreamer dependencies. No Homebrew, paid software, or Rosetta needed. Apple silicon has not been verified and this installer intentionally refuses it.

The existing manual installation was tested successfully by the site owner. This automated installer is a new beta and still needs its own end-to-end Mac test. It preserves the existing Hollywood Wine prefix. The app is compiled and locally signed on your Mac; it is not Apple-notarized.

Third-party runtimes are downloaded directly from their official projects, not redistributed in this ZIP:
Wine builds: https://github.com/Gcenx/macOS_Wine_builds
GStreamer: https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/download/
Their respective licenses apply. The player package retains its existing license files.

The GStreamer 1.28.8 package is checked against the SHA-256 published by GStreamer. This release has no Apple package signature; the older Hollywood installer incorrectly treated that as a failed download. If you saw "Status: no signature", download this updated Hollywood ZIP and run its installer again.

To uninstall the helper/player: remove ~/Applications/Hollywood.app and ~/Library/Application Support/Hollywood/Player and MacHelper. Runtime and Wine folders are retained so existing settings are not erased.
